Acting Vice Chancellor of Karakoram International University (KIU), Prof. Dr. Abdul Razaq, held a meeting with Commissioner Gilgit Division, Mr. Tauqeer Haider Kazmi, and Deputy Commissioner Gilgit, Mr. Arif Ahmad, along with other relevant officials, to discuss matters of mutual interest.

According to the KIU Public Relations Office, the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the university and the district administration, enhancing administrative support for academic activities, and exploring joint initiatives to facilitate students.

During the meeting, Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razaq briefed the visiting officials on the university’s ongoing academic and research activities. He stated that KIU remains committed to promoting quality higher education in the region and that closer coordination with the district administration would further strengthen this mission. He emphasized that strong institutional partnerships are essential for advancing educational and socio-economic development in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Commissioner Gilgit Division, Mr. Tauqeer Haider Kazmi, appreciated the university’s efforts in promoting higher education and assured the administration’s full support in facilitating the institution's academic initiatives. Deputy Commissioner Gilgit, Mr. Arif Ahmad, also reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining close coordination with the university for the benefit of students and the wider community.
